Here where animals like elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dogs, sable etc. migrate and move freely between our area and the park. An additional 300 000 acres are available where we do problem animal control on elephant, lion etc. This is how Africa was decades ago. This area has not been hunted for many years and we had our very successful first season in 2009. Imagine hunting with the opportunity of seeing lots of buffalo and elephant or a lion stalking its unsuspecting prey……… Accommodations in our newly build camp consisting of permanent safari tents, running water, flush toilets and electricity supplied by a generator are comfortable. A full time cook and camp staff will see to all your needs. What you need to know about Mozambique? • You do need a Visa to enter Mozambique which can be obtained at the border post entering Mozambique. • Mozambique is a malaria area so the necessary precautions must be taken. • Mozambique is politically…

About Zingeli

About us

Zingeli Safaris is a family owned safari outfit that is based in the north-western part of the Limpopo Province and in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa. With more than 70 years of hunting experience between the outfitter and the professional hunters you, our guest, will be offered a safari to remember. Zingeli Safaris offers hunting and photographic safaris for individuals, groups or the entire family. These safaris are not limited to South Africa but also include Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Whether you aim by rifle, handgun, bow or camera, every endeavor will be made to ensure that your African Safari is the experience of a lifetime!

All Zingeli safaris are private and groups are never mixed, i.e. no outsiders on your safari, regardless of the number of people in your group. Your group will have their own experienced guide, who will accompany you during your entire safari. With well seasoned professional hunters, an excellent chef and skilled trackers and skinners, your safari will be a most thrilling experience!

Meet Your Hosts

Louis Stoffberg

Zingeli Safaris is owned by Louis Stoffberg, a Professional Hunter and Outfitter. Louis was raised in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. It was here that he developed his passion for hunting the “bush” of wild Africa. From an early age, Louis would join his father on frequent safaris, all the while learning more and more about African wildlife. Years later Louis successfully graduated from the Rand Afrikaans University where he attained his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree. For several years he worked in the Agricultural research and development industry but his mind was always on safari!

Louis decided to make a career change and soon tested and qualified for his “South African professional Hunters license”. It was then that Zingeli Safaris was established and Louis could follow his dream of hunting and guiding professionally. Since then Louis has personally hunted and guided many successful safaris for most African species of big game including lion, leopard, cape buffalo, elephant and rhino. His talent and passion for the hunt, along with his genuine appreciation of nature, enables him to provide his clients with an unforgettable African experience.

Louis is also a licensed and accredited tour guide with a keen interest in African history, native cultures along with all the species of indigenous wildlife found in Southern Africa. Louis is an avid re-loader, both fresh and salt-water fisherman and enjoys bow-hunting. Louis is the proud father of two children and husband to wife Danica.
With Louis’ extensive experience of field types and geographical areas in and around South Africa and his passion for the animals he hunts, his hope is to let you experience those feelings of sheer excitement at the success of a hunt.

Danica Stoffberg

Danica was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. After attaining her Masters Degree in Botany, she qualified as an Educator teaching Life Sciences at a senior level. In 2007 she was appointed as a Principal, a position she still holds today. This has provided her with experience in management and acquired her many organizational skills. She shares a love of nature and the African bush with her husband and supports him in his love for hunting.

This makes them a good working team. She organizes the administrative office and is involved in the logistical planning and approves the selected menus. She also arranges additional activities for partners and family during and after the hunt. Danica places emphasis on exceptional service with a personal touch. Louis and Danica have been happily married since 1992, and together have two children, Steffen and Rachelle

Our Staff

The Zingeli Team is committed to excellence and everyone plays a vital role in the success of our business. We currently enjoy a high percentage return clientele! This has been achieved because we are honest, offer fair price on safaris with NO hidden costs. We represent our self and Louis guides on safari, so NO empty promises! In short we strive to create those memories of a lifetime in this beautiful country.

Professional Hunters

Dirk Grobler

Dirk was born in Pretoria, in the Gauteng province of South Africa.  He has been hunting since the age of ten and obtained his Professional Hunters licence in 2000. Dirk has hunted all South African plains game species and also has his Dangerous Game hunting licence.  He has Dedicated Hunters status and is a member of the South African Hunters and Conservation Association, as well as the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa (PHASA). Dirk is also a registered tourist guide in South Africa.

Andries Maritz (“Super”)

Andries was born in Keetmanshoop in Namibia. He started hunting as a six year old, and obtained his Professional Hunters licence in 2001.  Andries has hunted professionally in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. He also has experience in culling and game capturing. He is a member of the South African Hunters Association.

Skinners and Trackers

Our ever friendly and willing trackers and skinners often take the lead in the bush when it becomes necessary to track an animal. They also prepare and take care of your valuable trophies and oversee a lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes.

Our Chefs

Our Chefs have excellent cooking skills and you will enjoy traditional African cuisine. They will be the first to greet you in the morning with hot tea or coffee and once again at the end of the day when you return from safari with your “sundowner” of choice! (All special dietary requirements are catered for).
